Pray that the Presbyterian Church Offices will be able to successfully obtain the ATO’s support for the JobKeeper allowance for different congregations including CPC.

Pray for the CYA & CYA+ leaders as they teach and role model to the youth how Psalms are directly relevant to the lives of the youth.

Pray for all the fellowships including home fellowship groups are able to meet regularly to learn, to encourage each other in the faith. Especially pray for those families with young children and elderly.

Thank God for the videos, songs. activities and children's talks that are available each week for the Sunday School children.  Thank God for the time they can spend doing these with family, as they continue to learn about God.

Thank God for the good results in distance learning, teachers' faithful preparation and students taking heart to learn. The "Teachers/Staff Prayer Group" was held for the first time on 22/5. May God continue to bless us.

Session is considering raising up new elders to help with spiritual leadership of the church, and for succession planning. Pray that the Lord will call those He has chosen.

Praise God that many of our families are getting involved in our Sunday School and Youth Group activities, Living Word bible studies and enjoying the opportunity to keep meeting up.

According to the Christian Post, the extremist group Boko Haram, which began in 2002, has killed and abducted thousands across the Lake Chad region (at the border of Nigeria and Chad). It has left 59,311 children orphaned and 59,123 people widowed since its inception. Pray for God's comfort and protection for “the LORD...sustains the fatherless and the widow, but He frustrates the ways of the wicked.” (Ps 146:9)

Pray that we will be able to reach out to the elderly, sick and lonely within our congregation, that might be missing out on online services and fellowship. Pray they may be able to access whatever personal needs are required.

Pray for the follow up of the Mandarin new comers, despite the COVID-19 restrictions, we can still keep in contact with them and invite them to attend the online service and online Bible Study

The global persecution of Christians has reached unprecedented levels: “260 million Christians experience high levels of persecution” according to Open Doors. Islamic oppression remains the chief source of persecution faced by Christians in seven of the absolute ten worst nations. Please pray for God’s deliverance of those in extreme danger & persecution, and for his people to continue trusting him.

Praise God that many of our Children’s talk presenters, music teams and those involved in Sunday services are enjoying the challenge of each role. Keep praying for those involved in putting the online Sunday services together.

Prudent Financial Management - As expenses will continue despite anticipated reduction in income - both offertory and bank interest (as interest rates are at an all time low) - please pray that we will be able to manage downwards or defer our discretionary expenses and that our members will continue to remain faithful in their giving.

Faithful Giving - During the current social distancing restrictions, we won't be able to collect cash offertory, which typically accounts for about 35% of our offertory income.  Let us pray that our members will remain faithful in their support of His work here at CPC, and that many more will now turn to online offertory (BSB 032-000 Acct 225830).

As schools returned to normal since late May, many families would need to make adjustment again in relation to how they live and work. Pray also that the young ones stay safe and healthy as they interact with school friends.
