When we consider what it means to be called as a Christian, we see in 2 Corinthians 4 that the Apostle Paul speaks of his calling by God as an apostle to the Gentiles. He should not lose heart because this call is the grace of God.
We thank God for calling us to be His people, to be Christians. Everything is by grace and through faith. This grace comes entirely from God. Therefore, we should focus on glorifying Christ and not distort God's word. We were originally worthless vessels, but because of God's glory in us, we have become valuable. In this way, we die in Christ, allowing Christ's glory to be revealed in us. Because of God's glory, we not only do not lose heart or abandon our calling, but our inner being is renewed by God every day. This glory is eternal. The calling of a Christian is to remember the unseen but eternal kingdom, rather than focusing only on the temporary world on earth. May the Lord help us to recognise what is eternal, what is true, and what is a valuable life.
當重新再思想，作為一個基督徒的呼召是什麼時，看到哥林多後書四章中，使徒保羅說到，他受到了神的呼召，作為外幫人的使徒，就不要喪膽，或不要失去了這顆心，因為這呼召，是神的恩典。
我們感謝神，能被呼召成為神的子民，成為基督徒，一切都本乎恩典，也因著信心。這恩典全是來自於神。更專心榮耀基督，不可扭曲神的話語。我們本來是沒有價值的瓦器，但因為神的榮耀，在我們身上，而我們變得有價值。這樣，我們是死在基督裡，而讓基督的榮耀，在我們身上彰顯出來。因為有神的榮耀，才不但不會喪膽，或失去那顆被呼召的心，而且，我們的內心，會每天被神更新。這榮耀，是永恆的。作為基督徒的呼召，是記念那看不見，但永恆的國度，而不是只看著在地上短暫的世界。求主幫助我們，認清什麼是永恆，什麼是真實，什麼是有價值的生活。
