Today and next Sunday, our preachers will be reminding us of God's heart for making disciples of all nations. This calling is central to our faith and our mission as a church.

In late September the global church came together for the Fourth Lausanne Congress on World Evangelisation. This was a significant event focused on uniting Christians worldwide in the mission to share the Gospel. Rev Patrick Fung will be sharing his insights from the conference over lunch on November 24th. I encourage you to join us for this opportunity to learn more about how God is moving globally.

Closer to home, we are blessed to support dedicated gospel workers who are serving in Australia and overseas. I encourage you to get to know at least one of these individuals or families a little better, so we can more effectively support them in their work. Here are some highlights of their ministries:

University Student Ministries: Eight families and individuals serve in campus ministries across Australia, including members of our congregations: Tim and Bec, Becky, Natalie, and Kirsten.

OMF gospel workers: Five families and individuals, including Patrick and Jennie Fung, Sunny and Wendy Wong (in Cambodia), and Jason and Hiwin Tam (in Taiwan), serve with OMF to share the Gospel in diverse communities.

SIM gospel workers: Four families and individuals, including Stanley Leong, partner with SIM to reach people in need of Christ.

National Leaders: Rev. Dennis To and Rev. David Zheng, both national directors for their missionary organisations in Australia, will be speaking with us either today or next Sunday.

Other Ministries: Christine Mao ministers through hospital chaplaincy, a missionary family serves in Mongolia, and Ronald Suah is the Dean of Myanmar Evangelical Graduate School of Theology.

We are grateful for the privilege of supporting these devoted workers as they answer God’s call to make disciples of all nations. Each of their journeys is unique, yet they share the same mission—to bring God’s love where it is most needed. Let us keep them in our prayers, asking God to guide us in finding meaningful ways to support them in this vital work.
