A new season
Happy New Year CPC! I hope this time has been one of celebration and renewal for you and your family.
As the new year comes upon us, it’s as though a new season is coming into our lives. With that may come a complex set of feelings and thoughts.
For some enjoyed a season of celebration, a year of favour, and looking towards the new year with excitement. For others it has been a year of loss and tension, one that left you with less than the year began.
In scripture, we are reminded that all these things are within God’s sovereign plans, “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens;”Ecclesiastes 3:1。
For as surely as the seasons change, we can be assured that all that is in our lives is within God’s hands. With that in mind, why don’t we do some reflection and offer to God what he has brought in our lives?
Reflect with me on the questions below and take a moment to offer these thoughts to God.
1. What have you lost in the past year?
2. What have God given you grace to overcome?
3. What have you had to persevere though?
4. What is something new you’re looking forward to?
With those things in mind, let’s stay in step with our Lord this year, knowing that whatever is to come, can be given to Him as an offering of worship.
新的一季
新年快樂雪梨華人長老會！我希望這個季節對你和你的家人來說是一個慶祝和更新的時候。
隨著新一年的到來，我們的生活仿佛迎來了新的季節。隨之而來的可能是一系列複雜的感受和想法。
對一些人，享受了一個歡慶的季節，一年的恩惠，對新一年充滿興奮的期待。但對於另外一些人，卻是充滿失落和緊張的一年，是到頭来留下的比年初還少的一年。
在聖經中，我們被提醒，所有這些都在神的主權計劃之內，“凡事都有定時，天下萬務都有定時；”傳道書3:1。
因為隨著季節年日的變化，我們可以確信我們生活中的一切都在神的手中。存著這確信，讓我們做一些反思，向神回應祂在我們生命中所帶來的東西吧!
请與我一起思考以下的問題，用點時間向神傾訴你的想法。
1. 過去一年你失去了什麼？
2. 神賜予你什麼恩典來克服這挑戰/難關？
3. 當中你有什麼需要堅持？
4. 你正在期待甚麼新景象？
帶著這些反思和期盼，讓我們今年定志緊隨主的步伐，知道無論將要發生什麼事情，都可以向他獻上敬拜。
