“As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning.”
「摩西何時舉手, 以色列人就得勝, 何時垂手, 亞瑪力人就得勝。」出17:11在今天的講道經文（出埃及記17）中，我們讀到以色列人與亞瑪力人的爭戰，以及一個非常重要的觀察，即以色列的勝負不是由雙方的相對實力決定的，也不是由他們各自戰略的優劣決定的，而是取決於摩西是否在俯視這場戰鬥的山上舉手。
